- I have spent most of my working life restoring historic or period houses in the UK, designing and project managing for clients and at times for myself! I have met some fantastic clients along the way, some of whom are looking for the 'finishing touches' to a project. This is where a hobby turned serious interest has now entered my work. There is nothing I love more than those final pieces to give the house its period character. An eclectic feel, mixing old textiles with original features. This is the final part of a vision which will have been conceived at a very early stage of the project - and up until recently I would just take the client to the fairs and auctions where I have found antique textiles for my own collection over the years. However, I am fortunate enough to have a house in Normandy, France. And the ability to go to France on a regular basis has allowed me to offer to source fabulous French textiles for my clients. Antique textiles of the highest quality to the simplest home spun linens that are found in rural areas. Sourcing of original period pieces for original period interiors - how good is that? I just love it!!
